Kleiner $3M investment in EEStor?

Here is a DealFlow column in Business Week that reports that Kleiner Perkins invested in a ceramic battery/ ultracapacitor company, EEStor, back in July, leading a $3M round. There appears to be very little information available on the web about the company, beyond what Business Week's Justin Hibbard has been able to dig up, but there's enough there to be pretty intriguing...

I was in a discussion last week about EEStor. Seems like a tremendous business opportunity for this country to be less dependent on oil. Supposed to get 500 miles on one charge. The issue may occur when you need to drive 1200 miles to Florida.

If it only takes slightly more than 5 minutes to recharge, whats the big deal with driving 1200 miles?

cheers
